The Mystery Quilt Along is definitely underway, with a wide array of colours and styles of fabric being used. Two people, like me, are making 2 versions - a bright one and a more subtle style. I can’t tell you how happy and excited it makes me to watch everyone’s enjoyment and enthusiasm for making these blocks, and the support and encouragement that is being given to each other.
It’s only half way through the month and here’s a good selection of the photographs that have been shared with me so far. Contributions are from Dulcie, Asa, Hazel, Colette, Alison, Fonda (and me!), with hints of fabric selections showing that there’s plenty more to come. Thank you all!

A bit of sad news.
This month we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Charlie. He was a great supporter of my quilts, and quite frankly the best moggy that a family could have wished for.
From the minute that we brought him home 10 years ago, he filled the house with joy. We had a rough road with him when he suffered a broken pelvis 5 years ago, from what we think must have been a collision with a car. One bionic metal pelvis later, and some tlc and we’ve been lucky enough to have him for a further 5 years.
There’ll never be another one like him, nor one that will be loved any more! Until we meet again on that Rainbow Bridge ..

40 Blocks in 40 Days.
A good friend and teacher, Richard, has given himself a challenge to make 40 blocks in 40 days in order to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. He has a particular interest in this charity and is celebrating being cancer free for the last 40 years. He’s already surpassed his initial goal of £500 in just 7 days!
